DNV and Triality won the Lloyd’s List Innovation Award
Lloyds List Global Award for the shipping industrys best innovation project The Lloyds List Global Award for the shipping industrys best innovation project 2011 was won by DNV. At a ceremony last night at the London Hilton Hotel, Chief Operating Officer Ioannis Kourmatzis accepted the award on behalf of DNV.When nominating, DNV chose Triality as its candidate among several innovation projects. Triality is a crude oil tanker concept that is fuelled by liquefied natural gas, has a hull shape that removes the need for ballast water and will reduce considerably emission to air.London-based Lloyd's List is the only global shipping newspaper with a daily circulation and is the world's oldest continuously published newspaper. Its first issue was released in 277 years ago - in 1734! Winning one of its global awards is ranked high."I'm really pleased and honoured to accept this award on behalf of a lot of competent, hardworking DNV colleagues," says Ioannis Kourmatzis, DNV's COO Europe & North Africa.
