ABB released a report analyzing how today’s ships can occasionally sail the oceans with unmanned bridges. The report says that current technology may be able to provide the necessary framework, under which unmanned bridges can become a reality. The reduced workload will reduce fatigue and increase performance.

Maritime software solutions provider "Nautisk" has announced that it is cooperating with "MarineMTS" to provide automatic ENC updates to vessels sailing with ECDIS. Marine MTS will provide both the hardware and the protocols needed to access the ECDIS with Nautisk providing the content and software.

Hutchison Ports Thailand launched the construction of its $600 million Terminal D facility at Laem Chabang during a press conference.
