The Australian Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) programme managed to brought together the two halves of the first Arafura Class OPV and made a complete hull.
The Commonwealth of Australia and Naval Group signed the Future Submarine Program Strategic Partnering Agreement. The agreement establishes the principles of cooperation between the two partners for the Attack class Submarine Program. This program will see the delivery of 12 regionally superior submarines to Australia with leading edge capabilities.
Australia’s Antarctic Supply Research Vessel RSV Nuyina was successfully floated at Damen Shipyards Galati. The procedure was achieved by raising the water level in the yard’s dry dock by six metres. The process took two days to complete. It will serve as a fully equipped research laboratory facility for up to 116 scientific staff.
