During the period 14-20 Jun 22, one CAT 41 incident of armed robbery against ships in Asia was reported to the ReCAAP ISC.

ReCAAP ISC published its report for piracy and armed robberies against ships in Asia for May 2022, informing that 6 incidents of armed robbery were reported. No piracy incident was reported.

During 24-30 May 22, two incidents of armed robbery against ships in Asia were reported to the ReCAAP ISC, comprising one CAT 3 incident and one CAT 4 incident.

During the period 4-9 May 22, no incident of piracy or armed robbery against ship in Asia was reported to the ReCAAP ISC. However, the Centre advises ships to continue to exercise enhanced vigilance.

ReCAAP ISC announced that during the period 26 April-3 May 22, four incidents of armed robbery against ships in Asia were reported to the ReCAAP ISC.

ReCAAP ISC informs that a total of 23 incidents of armed robbery against ships were reported in Asia during January-March 2022. This accounts for a 35% increase in the total number of incidents compared to the same period in 2021.

During 5 – 11 Apr 22, one CAT 21 incident of armed robbery against ships in Asia was reported to the ReCAAP ISC.

During 29 March - 4 April 22, two incidents (one CAT 31 incident and one CAT 42 incident) of armed robbery against ships in Asia were reported to the ReCAAP ISC.

Six companies created a partnership to establish Asia’s first green e-methanol plant which converts captured biogenic carbon dioxide (CO2) into green e-methanol.

During 22-28 March 22, no incident of piracy and armed robbery against ship in Asia was reported to the ReCAAP ISC.
