Chinese manufacturer SunRui is pleased to announced that its filtration/side-stream electrolysis BalClor BWMS received final Type Approval Certificate by the US Coast Guard following the successful implementation of their technology even in Nuclear Power Plants.
The Qingdao based company SunRui Marine Environment Engineering Co Ltd (a subsidiary company of CSIC Group) had applied for the USCG Type Approval earlier this year. The company said that its system succeeded in increasing the Annual Production Capacity from 500 to 1000 Units, in order to meet the demand for the installation to existing vessels.
US regulations require all vessels trading in US waters to treat their ballast water with USCG type approved ballast water treatment system before discharge. Until recently, Optimarin, Alfa Laval, OceanSaver were able to offer BWTS in full compliance with US Coast Guard requirements. SunRui is now the fourth company to receive the USCG type approval.
