SAFETY4SEA is pleased to announce that Steamship Mutual has received the 2018 SMART4SEA Cyber Security Award at the prestigious 2018 SMART4SEA Awards Ceremony which successfully concluded on January the 30th, the evening ahead of the SMART4SEA Conference, at Yacht Club of Greece in Athens.
Steamship Mutual received the SMART4SEA Cyber Security Award, sponsored by Hudson Analytix , for its ‘Cyber Security: Smart, Safe Shipping’ DVD-ROM which promotes an awareness of cyber risks at sea featuring advice on strategies that ought to be adopted as well as reference and links to useful sources. Other short-listed nominees for this category were: ASKET Ltd., Aspida, Fidra Films, Hudson Analytix, KVH Videotel, Steamship Mutual.
Mrs. Cynthia Hudson, CEO of Hudson Analytix, on behalf of the sponsor Hudson Analytix, congratulated Steamship Mutual for its overall contribution in enhancing cuber security in shipping.
Accepting the award on behalf of Steamship Mutual, Chris Adams, Director, Head of European Syndicate and Loss Prevention, stated: “Callisto have produced all of our loss prevention DVDs and the quality and innovative nature of these is reflected in the fact that all of these programmes have either achieved or been shortlisted for industry awards. I am also most grateful to our presenter Edward Stourton for his skill and commitment once more in conveying the message in an effective and authoritative manner.”

Our objective in producing this DVD is to help raise awareness amongst seafarers and shipping companies of the cyber security threat, and to influence behaviour to reduce and control that risk.
