Norway based Odfjell Drilling, released a statement, announcing that Statoil decided to exercise its second option in Deepsea Bergen’s drilling contract, after its first option which was exercised in December.
Namely, Statoil exercised the second of four options. The option regards three wells with an estimated duration of 75 days. The second option will follow back to back with previously announced option one.
The exercise of this option is part of the drilling contract that was signed by the two companies, in 31 May 2017. According to the contract, Statoil awarded Deepsea Bergen a new drilling contract. The contract originally included one firm well plus four three-optional wells.
