Amid the COVID-19 pandemic situation along with the crew change issue within shipping industry, Sri Lanka announced that allows crew changes to be carried out via land based Isolation Centres (ICs).
The status quo for air travel (via chartered flights) remains unchanged as of now.
Due to the escalating number of COVID-19 positive patients/seafarers globally, the Maldivian government has suspended the arrival of international flights from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal to Maldives until 31 May.
As an alternate, the Private Public Partnership (PPP) currently facilitating crew changes in Sri Lanka is in the process of arranging chartered flights to/from specific destinations periodically.

As informed, the PPP is not responsible for any travel advisory imposed by the Government of Doha due to the prevailing escalation in Covid-19 variants which may result in rescheduling of confirmed flights or impact some nationalities after full payment.
