On September 20, 2024, Spliethoff Group announced its acquisition of a majority interest in ForestWave, which will officially join Spliethoff as its seventh business unit on September 30.
As explained by the company, this move expands Spliethoff’s fleet to over 140 vessels, enhancing its capabilities in the sea transportation of bulk cargoes and yachts. Spliethoff Group’s management expressed that this step will create synergies and broaden the range of logistics solutions available to clients.
According to Spliethoff, the partnership between Spliethoff, Sevenstar Yacht Transport, and ForestWave has thrived for years, and the formal acquisition aims to deepen this collaboration.
Fred Diepeveen, Managing Director of ForestWave, highlighted that this strategic alliance allows his company to maintain its identity while accessing new opportunities. He emphasized that the collaboration will enhance service delivery to clients and colleagues alike.
