From 1 July 2021, Korean Quarantine is accepting PCR certificates in cases where over 14 days have passed since a vessel’s departure from crew joining port and the PCR certificate has been issued within 72 hours of crew’s embarkation.
Previously, the PCR certificate was not accepted if issued within 72 hours of “ship’s departure from crew joining port” rather than their embarkation date.
However, if a vessel does not sail for over 14 days after departure from crew joining port, this regulation will not be applicable.
To remind, all travelers to Korea must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result issued within 72 hours of their departure, while tere is also a mandatory 14-day quarantine upon entry for most travelers.
