Caribbean-based energy provider Sol Petroleum announced a new offshore bunkering facility off the shores of Trinidad and Grenada to supply vessels in the region with IMO 2020 compliant fuels.
The additional fueling service, which began in November 2018, seeks to provide vessels with a reliable bunkering option via the ‘Panda PG’ vessel.
This new addition further bolsters the regional fuel giant’s current marine fuel distribution system, which includes an ex-barge operation in Nassau Bahamas, ex-pipe in Barbados, Suriname, Guyana, Bermuda, Grand Cayman, and via truck in Saint Lucia, Grenada, Tortola, Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and French Guiana.
The announcement comes as marine industry is dependent on a consistent and reliable fuel supply to ensure the safety of crews and marine environments, Sol said.
Sol adheres to the strictest international standards and will be a premier provider of IMO 2020 compliant fuels at multiple ports in the region,
…Kirk King, The Sol Group’s Bunkering Manager, explained.
