Hamburg-based International maritime trade fair, the 27th SMM (6-9 Sept 2016) announced that a new dedicated exhibition area will be available for alternative marine propulsion.
SMM stated on its website the following information:
”Hall A5 will cover all aspects of LNG. Shipyards and suppliers will be provided with the optimal platform to showcase their LNG related technologies‚ as the supply of LNG fuel to ships will be a core topic. Port authorities looking for LNG refuelling concepts will be able to find partners competent in the field of LNG bunkering and storage infrastructure.
Other low-emission propulsion technologies will also be highlighted to provide a full market overview. These include methanol and fuel-cell as well as hybrid and dual-fuel propulsion systems.
”Core Industry competencies in this field will ensure that a high level of know-how and information transfer is to be gained by exhibiting and visiting hall A5 at SMM 2016‚ so building on the foundation for the continued growth of green shipping.”
