Maritime satellite antenna systems provider, Intellian, announced that SM Lines selected its v100 maritime VSAT antenna to power its vessels’ data and communications and enable its IoT freight monitoring system.
Objects having internet and processing information, facilitate operators to use new, improved services.
SM Line will use the freight monitoring technology to enhance service quality along its key Asia-US shipping route, thus becoming the first Korean container shipping company, monitoring the condition of items in a container in real time. Namely, they will be able to collect the temperature and humidity of the container and track it on shore in real time.
