TFG Marine announced its first digitalised marine fuel delivery in Singapore using electronic bunker delivery notes (eBDNs).
In early November, at the Port of Singapore, TFG Marine supplied VLSFO bunker fuel to Pacific Basin Shipping Limited’s Illovo River bulk carrier, marking the first of four bunkering deliveries already this month where this new technology has been successfully deployed.
Furthermore, this end-to-end technology comes ahead of the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA)’s mandatory standards set for April 2025.
This milestone represents a significant leap in transforming the bunker delivery process—streamlining administrative tasks, enhancing digital documentation and data collection, and contributing to a more efficient and connected bunkering industry.
…said TFG Marine.
Since January 2023, over 100 trials had been conducted according to the MPA, becoming the first port in the world to implement electronic bunker delivery notes (eBDNs).
Feedback from users has been gathered continuously to improve these solutions as the aim was to make digital bunkering a mandatory requirement by the end of 2024.
