The 62,000T heavy lift multi-purpose vessel TAI FU constructed by CHENGXI SHIPYARD (YANGZHOU) CO., LTD. for Bank of Communications Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. (BOCOM Leasing) was delivered alongside HONG FU, the first ship of the series.
The TAI FU, delivered on 26 November, meets the Phase III standard of energy efficiency index and the T3 emission requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), and the latest SOx emission requirements. Leaders from the Shipping Leasing Department of BOCOM Leasing, COSCO Shipping Specialized Carriers Co., Ltd., Wah Kwong Ship Manegement (Shenzhen & HK) limited and Zhenjiang Office of CCS Jiangsu Branch attended the delivery ceremony.
The ship length overall is 199.90 meters, with moulded breadth 32.26 meters, moulded depth 19.30 meters, designed draught 11.30 meters, and a designed speed 14.4 knots. The cargo hold adopts a large opening and box structure, with a maximum length of about 40 meters.
Furthermore it is equipped with two 150 ton and two 80 ton heavy cranes, as well as cargo hold loading and deck loading capabilities to load various heavy equipment, pulp, solid bulk cargo, containers, new energy vehicles, etc., achieving multi-function and multi-purpose.
Additionally, HONG FU, the first ship of the series, was delivered on 1 December.
