Shipowners: New guide to laws for offshore operations

The Shipowners P&I Club has sought to establish a broad overview of common issues arising from the laws and regulations which govern offshore shipping operations. To this end,  it has prepared new guide for operators with the assistance of Thomas Cooper and CTRL Marine Solutions Ltd.

The offshore industry is varied and often challenging with operators facing a unique and complex range of liabilities. The guide has been written using information obtained from leading practitioners, features 17 jurisdictions across the globe and gives answers to key questions on a variety of legal topics such as limitation, court systems, time bars, industry standard contracts and freedom for parties to contractually limit liability.
