In light of the COVID-19 ongoing outbreak, several ports have banned cruise ships calls, to protect their region and avoid the spread of the virus.
Specifically, an increasing amount of local and national authorities are setting measures to restrict or even ban all cruises’ arrivals.
In fact, the Spanish government recently informed that banned all the cruises operations as a measure against the coronavirus.
Namely, the decision was approved by the Council of Ministers and will come into force from 13 March 2020.
For the records, the ban will last until 27 March, as it might be further extended depending on the coronavirus epidemic situation.
Following the global outbreak, Norway from its side, confirmed that international travelers who visit the country, will face a mandatory quarantine for 14 days, regardless their health history.
Anyone who has travelled outside the Nordic region (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway) since February 27 must stay at home for 14 days from when they returned to Norway. This applies regardless of your health.

At the same time, US announced that suspended all travels from 26 European countries to the United States for the next 30 days, in an effort to prevent spread of the coronavirus.
Concluding, United Arab Emirates has also cancelled all cruise operations to the country’s ports, taking precautions to reduce the coronavirus cases.
