The US Coast Guard along with partner agencies responded to a grounded sailing vessel, on September 12, on the Hudson River near Catskill, NY. The ship had 46 passengers and 11 crew aboard and managed to refloat itself, while the USCG was monitoring the situation.
Columbia County Sheriff’s Department launched and escorted the sailing vessel Clearwater back to Catskill, NY. US Coast Guard Sector New York marine inspectors also responded to assess the vessel’s condition before it resumed operations with passengers.

There are no reports of injuries to the passengers or the crew, as well as no reports of pollution in the water.
