Specifically, the three parties signed an MoU of cooperation and strategic partnership on September 5, during the 5th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
The trio reported that they plan to develop LNG-powered vessels, construct infrastructure ideal for LNG bunkering and create an up-to-date legal and regulatory framework for the use of LNG as a motor fuel.

We see significant potential in using LNG as a fuel for sea and river vessels thanks to its economic and environmental advantages. The newly-signed memorandum will allow the parties to consolidate their efforts and expertise in this strategic area.
Also, in May 2019, Gazprom announced the discovery of two new hydrocarbon fields on the shelf of the Yamal Peninsula.
