The Port of Rotterdam Authority was presented with a Port Environmental Review System (PERS) certificate
PERS comprises a set of guidelines formulated for and by ports for the purpose of evaluating a port’s individual environmental management performance. Candidates are subjected to an independent review by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance.
This PERS certification is in line with our ambition to be the most sustainable port in the world. Our sustainability efforts focus on both the environmental footprint of local industry and logistics and the quality of our social environment. Together with a variety of partners, the Port Authority continues to work towards a strong port and good living conditions. The only way to achieve balanced growth in the port area is by paying attention to the surrounding region and environmental issues.
