The “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati joined the Waterborne Technology Platform (TP) on 7 April to provide input and collaborate with key players in the transition to a competitive and sustainable waterborne sector.
Jaap Gebraad, Secretary General of the Waterborne Technology Platform, welcomed Romania as a new member, emphasizing that the unique characteristics of the Romanian waterborne sector and its knowledge base will shape future priorities and benefit research across Europe.
Prof. Univ. Dr. Marian Barbu, Rector of “Dunarea de Jos” University of Galati, expressed gratitude for joining the platform, highlighting the university’s commitment to advancing research in decarbonization, emissions reduction, sustainable materials, pollution control, and automation.
