A deck watchman onboard an anchored container vessel at Cartagena Inner Anchorage, Colombia, noticed three robbers at forward area.
He then immediately informed the duty officer on the bridge, who raised the general emergency alarm. All crew mustered inside the accommodation and the doors were locked from inside. The Master reported the incident to the coastguard and requested further assistance.
After that, a coastguard boat arrived and started searching around the vessel. The coastguard confirmed that the robbers had fled away. It was reported some ship’s properties were found missing.
