Seventeen passengers were injured when a Bulgarian river cruise vessel experienced a steering malfunction and collided with the walls of a lock along the Danube River in Austria, as reported by local authorities on 30th March.
As explained, eleven individuals suffered minor injuries and were transported for medical attention, while six others with slight injuries opted not to receive assistance.
In particular, the vessel carrying 160 passengers, predominantly of German nationality, experienced a temporary loss of power to its electronic systems and became uncontrollable while navigating through narrow locks on Friday.
The vessel was under way on a Danube cruise to Linz, Austria. Once power was restored to the ship, it had already collided.
