Information provided by German Administration
The German Administration has sent the following quoted information by email, which concerns CIC on Structural Safety and Load Line (Paris and Tokyo MoU) from 01.09.2011 till 30.11.2011 :
Please pay attention to the upcoming Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) of the Paris MoU as well as Tokyo MoU, starting on 1 September 2011 and ending on 30 November 2011. The States party of the Viña del Mar Agreement, the Indian Ocean MOU, the Mediterranean MOU and the Black Sea MOU will follow the same routine during the campaign. The CIC will verify applicable documents and aspects as loading instruments, the protection of hatch openings, the vessel’s hull, bulkheads and deck and other features of the Load Line Convention.
You may obtain the press release and the respective questionnaire (published in the beginning of august) on the website of the Paris MoU and Tokyo MoU.
Referring to the planned campaign we like you to remind of ISM-Info-Mail 06-2011 concerning inoperative fire dampers.
Information about the upcoming campaign and the respective questionnaire should be provided to the master and ship officers to avoid possible deficiencies and detentions. Further it should be verified whether relevant documents and information in the significant working language are carried on board.
