In recognition of the advances in information technology, and theimportance of timely dissemination of reports, sharing of updatedinformation, and reaching out to a wider shipping community, theReCAAP ISC has created a Mobile Application (‘App’), makingthe prevailing use of mobile smartphones by many.
The ‘App’ enables the ReCAAP ISC to share the latest Incident Alertand reports promulgated by the ReCAAP ISC with a wider readershipfrom the shipping community and facilitate quick access to updatedinformation of the ReCAAP Focal Points/Contact Point (phone number,fax number, email address).
This provides the shipping communitytimely and better situation awareness, and enables them to maketimely reporting of an incident to the nearest ReCAAP FocalPoints/Contact Point and submission of an incident report via the App.The Mobile App is available for download in the App Store (iPhoneusers) and Google Play Store (Android-based smartphone users).
