Port of HaminaKotka recently shake hands with Rauanheimo and inked an agreement in order to expand the Mussalo Bulk Terminal. Namely, through this investment, Rauanheimo will further increase the terminal’s capacity and efficiency.
Port of HaminaKotka Ltd has had the pleasure of conducting constructive and developing co-operation with Rauanheimo for several years in both Hamina and Kotka. The leap now taken will bring bulk transport at the Port of HaminaKotka to a whole new level.

According to Rauanheimo, the new wagon unloading terminal is scheduled to be completed in August 2020.

Moreover, the new station goals to advance the wagon unloading capacity to 1-1,5 million tons per year.
For the records, until summer 2020, the company will have invested more than 17 million euros in the warehouses and equipment at Mussalo.
The co-operation with the management of Port of HaminaKotka Ltd and the planning of the investments with the Technical Department of the Port has been fluent, which is of utmost importance in achieving our shared goal of attracting additional transport volumes.
