Saoud bin Abdulrahman believes that Wilhelmshaven would be a good LNG location and emphasized that Qatar is interested in a sustainable and strategically long-term investment and is looking for a local partner. As a matter of fact, Qatar is the world’s largest exporter of LNG and would like to support the plans to build an LNG terminal in Germany.
MARIKO will now collaborate with Wilhelmshaven Port Industry Association and the Oldenburg Chamber of Industry and Commerce to create an office, in order to develop LNG infrastructure on the North Sea.
