Following the explosion onboard an oil tanker off the coast of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, one of the biggest liquefied natural gas exporter, Qatar condemned the attack.
In fact, Qatar warned that the incident could have a severe impact on international energy markets.
Considering the situation, the State of Qatar voiced strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack which targeted an oil tanker in Jeddah port in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, describing it as an act of sabotage that is contrary to all international norms and laws, which would seriously affect the freedom of navigation, security and stability of energy supplies.
In a statement on Tuesday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm stance of rejecting violence, and criminal acts, regardless of the motives and reasons.
