DCT Gdańsk is considered one of the fastest growing container ports in Europe and the only terminal in the Baltic that can accommodate Ultra Large Container Vessels (ULCVs) with a capacity of up to 23,000 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs).
Namely, container volumes handled by the terminal have grown continuously over the years, eventually reaching 1.9 million TEUs in 2018.
Currently, the terminal has a quay length of 1,306 meters and a maximum depth of 17 meters. It is already undergoing expansion, which will be finalized during 2019 and 2020.
The consortium partners aim to further enhance the terminal's position and to look into more expansion needs as and when relevant.
