The contract notice started the tender procedure to select the contractor for one of four projects under the expansion program of the President Lech Kaczyński LNG Terminal in Świnoujście, regarding the construction of the second jetty. The project will be implemented in collaboration with the Szczecin and Świnoujście Seaports Authority.
The tender process planned for 2019 includes several stages, such as the prequalification of bidders, submission of preliminary offers, negotiations with short-listed bidders, submission of final offers, offer evaluation and selection of the Contractor.
The construction project is planned to be completed in the second quarter of 2023. The deadline for submitting requests to take part in the tender is 7 February 2019.
The new jetty will facilitate the provision of new key services at the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście, including methane carriers loading and unloading, LNG transhipment and loading LNG bunkers, as well as bunkering service.
These services come after the recent trend in Small Scale LNG (SSLNG) development, with which the LNG Terminal in Świnoujście will meet the increasing market demand. It will also comply with numerous European regulations including climate and environmental laws which enable the transition towards low-emission fuels.
