Taking precautionary steps to prepare the terminals
The Port of Virginia is closely monitoring the movement of Hurricane Arthur and is taking precautionary steps to prepare the terminals for any eventuality, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
As of 2:00 p.m. today, July 3, the port does not anticipate any changes to its operating hours:

The port’s team that monitors these types of weather-related events does so in close coordination with the U.S. Coast Guard. The Sector Hampton Roads “Severe Weather Contingency Plan“.
