Continuing RO/RO service with their long-term shipping partner
The Port of Tilbury, owned by Forth Ports Ltd, announced an important contract extension agreement with P&O Ferries to continue their RO/RO service with their long-term shipping partner, Bore, at London’s major port.
Commenting on the extension, Perry Glading, Chief Operating Officer of Forth Ports said: “The Port of Tilbury is very pleased to have agreed an extension of the current agreement with P&O Ferries. Since the service commenced in 2007 we have worked closely with the P&O Ferries’ management team to sustainably grow this service at Tilbury, to where it sits today as an important link into the Thames, placing P&O Ferries and the Port of Tilbury at the forefront of the RO/RO market in this sector of the UK“
John Garner, Fleet Director at P&O Ferries said: “I am pleased to announce that we have reached agreement with Bore Ltd, the owners of Norsky and Norstream, that will enable P&O Ferries to continue to charter these ships after the current chartering arrangements expire in December 2014. In parallel, the Port of Tilbury contract has also been extended.“
Håkan Modig, CEO of Bore said: “We look forward to the continuation as a long-term shipping partner to P&O Ferries and that our vessels have maintained the good service on the busy routes in the English Channel.
