Port of Sète recently announced that is taking a new step for its port facility in order to become a smart port of the future.
After a call for tenders, launched in November 2019 for the development of its online IT platform CCS (Cargo Community System), the Port of Sète has chosen MGI’s Ci5 software for the digital management of its goods flows.
The contract inked for a period of 5 years, renews the partnership between the Port of Sète and MGI.
The establishment of Ci5 is a new step for the port community of Sète which was one of the first to set up a Cargo Community System including bulk goods. It is a new step in the expansion of the port market’s service offering, which combines efficiency and personalization.
…Olivier CARMES, Managing Director of Port Sud de France, noted.
What is more, this new platform will make it possible for the port to reach its goals concerning all the goods handled at Sète, while it is expected to be operational during this autumn.
With Ci5, multiple paper declarations will be avoided and will speed up the port passage of goods, for a lower C02 contribution from port activities and its ecosystem.
I am pleased to see the Sétoise community, MGI’s long-standing partner, joining the Ci5 club. All MGI employees are proud of this renewed confidence, over time, for more fluid and efficient port crossings.
….Rémi JULIEN, President of the MGI Management Board concluded.
