Due to the changing trends on the renewable energy market, the Port of Gdynia Authority SA has intensified work on the development of hydrogen technologies.
A conference on the fuel and energy transformation was held in the port, during which the concept of creating a hydrogen hub was presented. This is- an initiative to build a regional low and zero-emission economy based on hydrogen and other alternative fuels.
During the meeting, representatives of terminals operating at the Port of Gdynia, Gdynia City Hall, suppliers of low- and zero-emission fuels, suppliers of alternative fuels production technology and entities that will participate in the creation of the clean fuel supply chain, discussed the directions of development of the fuel industry.
We are an element of the local ecosystem, therefore, with care for the natural environment and the stakeholders of the Port of Gdynia, we are developing our system and introducing new solutions in line with the idea of #greenport
said Jacek Sadaj, President of the Port of Gdynia Authority SA.
The conference was an opportunity to start cooperation between entities interested in the availability of alternative fuels at the Port of Gdynia.
The Port of Gdynia Authority has been taking steps to ensure the availability of low-emission fuels. It is possible to bunker LNG ships in the port of Gdynia, and efforts are currently underway to prepare conditions for ensuring the availability of hydrogen.
