An Australian family was sailing off Yemen when pirates approached them. The pirates stalked the family for about four hours, trying to prevent them from approaching other ships. The pirates were eventually gave up and left, when Japanese and Pakistani warships came in the area.
The situation was concerning as the family’s boat was running low on fuel. Having already called for help, a helicopter and a plane were dispatched to monitor the situation. The Japanese pilot kept contact with the family and directed the yacht towards the naval ships.

The pirates did not have much time to act and started approaching, however the warships came in the area on time, forcing the pirates to retreat.
After the pirates left, a Pakistani naval ship provided the yacht with fuel and helped them sail to Djibouti.
