The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) issues Worldwide Threat to Shipping (WTS) Report for the period 30 June 2013 – 31 July 2013 .
The Worldwide Threat to Shipping (WTS) message provides information on threats to, and criminal action against, merchant vessels worldwide in the last 30 days. This report is producedprimarily to inform merchant mariners and naval forces.
1. (U) EGYPT: On 31 July, an anchored merchant vessel was boarded at the Alexandria Port.
2. (U) INDONESIA: On 29 July, an anchored LPG tanker was boarded at the Tanjung UbanAnchorage.
3. (U) BANGLADESH: On 27 July, an anchored merchant vessel was boarded at the ChittagongAnchorage.
4. (U) INDONESIA: On 27 July, an anchored unidentified vessel was boarded at the GresikInner Anchorage.
5. (U) EGYPT: On 27 July, an anchored container ship was boarded at the Suez Anchorage.
6. (U) INDONESIA: On 25 July, an underway tug was boarded approximately 8 nm northeast ofTanjung Berakit.
7. (U) INDONESIA: On 24 July, an underway tug was boarded approximately 3 nm northeast ofTanjung Berakit.UNCLASSIFIED
8. (U) NIGERIA: On 24 July, an anchored product tanker was boarded at the Eked OffshoreAnchorage.
9. (U) INDONESIA: On 10 July, an anchored crude oil tanker was boarded at an IndonesiaAnchorage.
10. (U) PHILIPPINES: On 10 July, an anchored container ship was boarded at a PhilippinesPort/ Anchorage.
