The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) issues Worldwide Threat to Shipping (WTS) Report for the period 23 June 2013 – 24 July 2013 .
The Worldwide Threat to Shipping (WTS) message provides information on threats to, and criminal action against, merchant vessels worldwide in the last 30 days. This report is producedprimarily to inform merchant mariners and naval forces.
1. (U) INDIA: On 24 July, an anchored chemical tanker was boarded at the Kandla Anchorage.
2. (U) VIETNAM: On 21 July, a berthed product tanker was boarded at the Nha Be Terminal.
3. (U) LIBYA: On 19 July, a berthed Ro-Ro vessel was hijacked at the Bengazi Port.
4. (U) NIGERIA: On 19 July, an anchored offshore supply vessel was boarded at Usari Field,offshore Akwa lbom state.
5. (U) TOGO: On 18 July, an anchored bulk carrier experienced an attempted boarding at theLome Anchorage.
6. (U) INDONESIA: On 17 July, an underway general cargo ship was boarded approximately7 nm northeast of Pulau Mapur.
7. (U) GABON: On 14 July, an underway landing craft was boarded at Port Gentil
