The Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI) issues Piracy Analysis and Warning Weekly (PAWW) Report (Horn of Africa) for the period 22 – 28 September 2011.
The Piracy Analysis and Warning Weekly (PAWW) Report is a review of recent Somali piracy incidents and an outlook on threats around the Horn of Africa.
Somali piracy incidents are now occurring at moderate levels, likely due to the end of the southwest monsoon season. There were three piracy incidents in this one-week period: one boarding and two attempted boardings.
