From July 1st 2013
Maritime New Zealand has issued theMaritime Transport (Oil Pollution Levies) Order 2013. Accodring to the Order, the new oil pollution levy rates for contributing ships and contributing oil sites come into effect on 1 July. (5/20/13).
An oil pollution levy is imposed to meet,or contribute to, the expenditure incurred by the New Zealand Oil Pollution Fund in order to increase New Zealand’s oil pollution response capability and to improve oil pollution response systems.
