Ezion Holdings informed that its offshore liftboat “Teras Lyza”, capsized in the South China Sea on Tuesday, June 5. Teras Lyza was being dead towed from Vung Tau, Vietnam to Taichung, Taiwan when a sudden list to the stern took place, causing the liftboat to capsize.
The 50-meter Teras Lyza was still floating upside down as of Wednesday, June 6, while a tug remains on scene to ensure the safety of navigation and monitor for pollution incidents.

According to reports, Teras Lyza was carrying 75 cubic meters of MGO, while it was unmanned at the time of the incident. A response Team has also been activated.
There are no injuries or casualties reported from the incident, with the company informing that it will be looking to hire or build a replacement vessel.
