The management of the Nigerian Ports Authority collaborated with Ogun State Government in efforts to ensure the workability of the Olokola Deep Seaport project.
Specifically, the two partners met in efforts to boost relations and achieve a better cooperation amongst stakeholders, with the aim that the port industry grows parallel with the Global Best Practices.
The meeting was conducted in the presence of the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Engr. Noimot Oyedele-Salako and the Ogun State Government Team inclusive of their Technical Partners from Abu Dhabi Ports, Hadiza Bala Usman, Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA).
The NPA and the Ogun State Government delegation both agreed that the synergy was important in order to develop Nigeria’s port system along with global best practices.
The Olokola Deep Seaport Project will enhance Nigeria’s shipping sector.
In line with Nigeria’s efforts to boost the sector, the Nigerian port authority launched a high-tech marine and harbour simulation centre at the NPA Dockyard, Apapa, Lagos.
