Novatek, the largest Russian natural gas producer and LNG operator, reserved the right to explore on the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The company announced that it obtained five new licenses on the area, which is located in close proximity to the Company’s existing licenses located on the Gydan Peninsula.
Specifically, according to the company’s press release, OOO NOVATEK-Yurkharovneftegas obtained the right for geological survey licenses for the Khalmeryahskiy, Dorofeevskiy and West-Dorofeevskiy subsoil areas, whereas OOO NOVATEK-Tarkosaleneftegas obtained the right for geological survey licenses for the South-Khalmeryahskiy and South-Dorofeevskiy subsoil areas.
The acquisition of the five licenses follows the Company’s aim to expand its resource base on the Yamal and Gydan peninsulas and increase natural gas and liquid hydrocarbon production.
PAO Novatek entered the global gas market in 2017, when presented the Yamal LNG project.
