The coordination between operator, owner and testing contractor, as well as technical solutions involving risk-reduction measures, were key topics of the audit. The audit also regarded responsibilities during performance of the activity and the maintenance history of equipment involved in the extended well testing (EWT).
The assessment showed that Lundin planned thoroughly the activity in a timely manner. The key participants during EWT were involved in the planning process from an early stage and there has been good cooperation between the parties involved.
However, the audit found some improvement points concerning:
- Familiarisation and training of personnel;
- Gas detection in the test area;
- Emergency shutdown of test valve;
- Roles and responsibilities.
Lundin and Ocean Rig have until 20 August 2018 to provide their assessment on how to improve these points.
