Japan Marine United (JMU) informed that it delivered the next-generation energy-saving bulk carrier, Emperor Pampero, on August 29, built at the Tsu Works (Tsu City, Mie Prefecture). The ship is equipped with a scrubber.
Equipped with a scrubber, the ship will comply with emission regulations, which will be applicable to ships from January 1, 2020.

It also features an optimal hull form, in order to achieve low resistance and high efficiency, while also significantly improving fuel efficiency. The latter will be done through the use of energy saving devices.
In addition, the construction of the ship enables to have better performance on the sea, while also reducing its noise.
What is more, the use of an electronically controlled engine, low-friction paint, and large-diameter propellers, come to enhance the fuel efficiency of the vessel.
Finally, JMU said that the ship supports various environmental regulations, like equipment for ballast water treatment equipment, maintenance of hazardous substance list, and conformity with NOx emission regulation Tier II.
