Hyundai Merchant Marine announced that it is going to launch a new weekly North China-West India service, known as CWI (China- West India Express), in cooperation with four global companies. Until now, the South Korean company has been operating routes to West India from central and southern China, but now it adds routes also from northern part of China.
The four carriers are SCI (Shipping Corporation of India), France-based CMA-CGM, PEL (Pendulum Express Lines) and KMTC (Korea Marine Transport Co).
The service operates with six 4,600 TEU vessels and it provides a port rotation of : Tianjin, Qingdao, Ningbo, Singapore, Port Kelang, Nhava Sheva , Mundra, Hazira, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Tianjin.
The First southbound sailing from Tianjin is scheduled for June 25th.
HMM said: “With this new direct premium service from North China to West India, HMM will provide a stable service to customers and strengthen its position in Far East/West India market.”
