The companies will study the possibility of a partnership in the transport of raw materials and steel products in Tosyalı's production networks in Turkey and overseas, while also constructing a port in southeastern Turkey, as well as further cooperation on new Tosyalı business ventures.
The agreement includes 'comprehensive strengths that enable the provision of one-stop solutions to the various transportation needs of customers', as stated in the "Rolling Plan 2019" management plan. It also looks forward to contributing to the expansion of Tosyalı's businesses.
Due to the partnership, MOL will improve its business structure targeting Turkey and Africa.
Before this announcement, MOL and Karadeniz announced that MOL and Karpowership, a subsidiary of Karadeniz, have agreed to jointly conduct the first LNG-to-Powership project under the co-brand Karmol in Mozambique.
This LNG-to-Powership project will include the collaborative operations of the FSRU to deliver regasified LNG and the Powership to receive regasified LNG in order to produce electricity, which is then provided to Electricidade de Moçambique (EDM), the Mozambican National Power Utility, via the electricity connection and transmission facility.
