The Methanol Institute (MI) has welcomed HIF Global, which specializes in producing e-Fuels, as its latest member.
As explained, as part of MI’s membership, HIF Global will collaborate with other industry leaders, policymakers, and stakeholders to promote the adoption of methanol-based solutions and e-Fuels in the transition to a low-carbon future.

Using renewable energy and advanced technologies, the company produces e-Methanol, e-SAF (sustainable aviation fuel), and e-Gasoline, supporting efforts to decarbonize transportation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

HIF Global operates the HIF Haru Oni facility in Magallanes, Chile, the world’s first e-Fuels plant, inaugurated in December 2022. The company is expanding globally, with projects in the U.S., Chile, Australia, Uruguay, and Brazil.
Its HIF Matagorda e-Fuels Facility in Texas is expected to produce 1.4 million metric tons of e-Methanol annually when fully operational.
