MARIS and Consilium have reached an agreement to cooperate on the service and installation of all MARIS products through Consilium’s network of subsidiaries and agents in more than 50 countries.
The agreement calls for MARIS to provide an intensive technical training program for engineers in the Consilium network, covering competence in all MARIS products, ranging from single installation ECDIS to complete, fully integrated packages containing VDR, triple ECDIS, conning, Radar Overlay, Voyage Decision Support and all Digital Service.

MARIS is a limited company with head offices in Tonsberg, Norway, a recognized centre for maritime information technology. MARIS is a systems house with world-class experience in maritime on-board systems. The company has delivered thousands of navigation systems to customers all over the world.
The majority owner of the company is the Grieg Group, which has a long and proud maritime tradition. Today, in addition to ship owning and ship broking, the group is engaged in fish farming and processing, global logistics, insurance and asset management, employing 1,500 people.
Consilium develops and markets products and systems for safety, automation, environment and navigation. Among the things encompassed by the product program are fire protection, gas detection as well as navigational equipment. Consilium has a global organization with 600 employees and 34 offices in 19 countries.
Products and systems are principally marketed toward shipbuilders and ship-owners as well as toward the oil and gas industry. Consilium also markets its selection to other industries. The goal is to be a competitive supplier within well-defined markets and product areas in which the Group already has reached or can reach world class. The operation has developed positively in recent years with an average volume growth of 12 percent over the last five years.
