The Maritime Administration (MARAD) issued an advisory providing guidance to vessels operating in the Gulf of Oman, North Arabian Sea, Gulf of Aden, and Bab el Mandeb regions. It recommends that vessels in these waters at anchor, operating in restricted maneuvering environments, or at slow speeds be especially vigilant and report suspicious activity.
