Data entry becomes easier thanks to a user-friendly web interface

The European Marine Casualty Investigation Platform, EMCIP, has successfully undergone a major update.
Data entry is now easier thanks to a user-friendly web interface, an integratedquality control feature has reduced the need for data checks and a single-sign-on has been added.
Information about marine casualties and incidents is collected and stored in EMCIP, inaccordance with Directive 2009/18/EC. The data can be used by member states and the Commission to identify safety issues and support decision making.
On the EMCIP Portal it is now possible for the public to find information about the most recent marine casualties and incidents, as well as investigation reports published by the member states.
